Director, Financial Planning and Analysis

Description of role:

Leader to build out a World Class, Strategic Financial, Planning and Analysis function. Business process improvement planning and execution will be paramount to success in this role. Lead the design and implementation of a best-in-class business intelligence (with relational reporting) system.
 
Actively interprets and reviews financial and operational results with business managers, including marketplace trends/issues and opportunities, to drive actionable responses. Ensures that senior management is educated on use and interpretation of financial reports and metrics. Advises on financial implications of business decisions. Manages or leads in the design of relevant management reporting and analytical tools. Develops presentation content to drive appropriate financial messages. Supports CEO, Investor Relations, VP Finance and CFO to achieve consistency in internal and external financial assessments. Performs analysis as needed. Ensures critical information and insights are provided to support communications with Analysts. Provides input into long-term financial model for area of responsibilities in context of Amonix's financial goals and objectives.
 
Manage and Drive Profitability & Cash Flow - Leads analysis that aids in the decision-making process and increased profitability and cash flow. Identifies or partners with management to identify opportunities for profitability enhancement. May execute initiatives to achieve results. Works with divisional business managers to identify action plans to achieve targets and budgets. Drives collaboration across the matrix to maximize the effectiveness of the plans. Communicates and/or recommends mid-course corrections as needed to ensure accomplishment of plans.
 
Monitors that working capital is efficiently and effectively being used (inventory and AR focus). Develops and monitors appropriate metrics focused on the P&L, balance sheet and free cash flow (such as CACC, ROIC). Drives appropriate discipline and controls around operating and capital spending. Ensures adherence to appropriation request policy and performs complete ROI analysis. Evaluates and performs financial analysis on new business opportunities, which include analysis of scenario and investment alternatives; may recommend Portfolio trade-offs as necessary.

Background:
• Strong experience with OLAP, relational reporting, business intelligence.
• 4-year degree - Business related with emphasis in Finance and Accounting or Computer Science.
• MBA preferred, CPA optional.
• 7+ years’ experience in accounting and/or financial analysis (financial analysis is preferred) with a manufacturing company
• Technical: Strong knowledge of budgeting, investment analysis, economic profit concepts and strategic planning concepts.
• Communication/Language: Strong verbal and written communication skills in local market language, including meeting facilitation and presentations.
• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Visual Basic and/or Access.
