Where Amonix Operates our Multijunction Solar Cells & CPV Solar Technology

Amonix CPV systems produce the most energy in sunny and dry climates. Technically, this means regions where the solar radiation averages 6 kilowatt-hours per square meter per day (6 kWh/m2/day) or more. This is where we operate.

For developers, this is an ideal site for projects in partnership with Amonix.

All Amonix product development, through eight generations of technology, has been focused on optimizing the systems for the sunny and dry solar resources. This is why Amonix incorporated high-efficiency multijunction cells, and applied concentrating optics. It was the impetus behind the development of the MegaModule® design and the 7700 system. It is also why Amonix incorporated a robust, dual-axis tracker, to follow the path of the sun as it moves across the sky.

The result is a system that requires no grading or special site preparation, can be sited on industrial or agricultural land, even on sloped or irregular land. It also allows for multiple use of the same land. And it uses no water in power production. This makes siting easier, and simplifies the permitting process.

Whether projects are built into a power purchase agreement, or are sold for a more immediate return on investment, the earlier Amonix is involved in the siting process, the more profitable the project could be.
