Reliability Engineering Manager

Summary

This individual will rapidly build a strong reliability engineering program that will:

  • efficiently produce statistically compelling evidence of product reliability  and expected field life,
  • provide early warning of design weakness
  • instill a statistically driven engineering culture
  • build and manage an in house reliability and failure analysis lab
  • document and compile a strong body of reliability test data

In addition, the individual will work directly with NRTL agencies such as UL and TUV to plan and manage sales-enabling agency certification and listing programs which strengthen rather than hinder product development. 

The ideal candidate will be an effective technical contributor as well as a strong organizer and leader.

Education, Competencies and Qualifications

  • BS in Engineering (MS preferred) & related experience
  • 7+ years in a product development engineering environment
  • Experience managing & leading small teams
  • Experience in Failure Analysis
  • Experience with Halt testing
  • Ability to collect and analyze test data

Preferred Experience

  • Semiconductor Halt testing experience
  • Weibull Analysis for life prediction
  • Statistical analysis of lab-based cyclical test data
  •  Experience with PV (Photovoltaic) cells
  • Experience managing UL certification/compliance
  • Familiarity with IEC 61208
